It looks like a faded picnic with a sign off to the right that says, "RUMFORD." Did the Rumford clan reserve a table in the local park? Probably.

Lu and Margaret McLeod
At least those are the names written on the back of the print. Does this photo seem so familiar because I've already posted it or because I've meant to so many times that the image has lodged in my mind? And who made Junior Foods?

Fun in the Forest
I bought this photo right here in southern California, and even though this is a fairly old photo, I have to say, the location looks familiar. Perhaps one of the picnic areas in The Angeles National Forest. I have to admit, though, I'm probably projecting. There is the edge of a picnic table in the lower right corner, so perhaps that's why.

Throw-In, In Color
Dated "SEP 69" Back in the good old days when I still had a full time job, I'd think about leaving L.A. for some small town in the Pacific northwest. I thought it would be nice to have a backyard. The big problem was that on my L.A. salary buying a house in rural America wouldn't have been a problem. But what I could make outside of Los Angeles was so small I'd have the limited space of the city but none of the advantages of urban life.
