T.C.W. CO.

What is the T.C. W. Co.?  It's in the lower left corner, so maybe this isn't a school class photo.  It probably is.  All the children look like they are around the same age, and they are in the classic class photo setup.  Also, 2908, which is also visible in the lower left corner.  Is that a date?  August 1929?  The clothing and hair look right for that era.

L.A. Family Photos 2

Each one of these three photos is labeled "White Oak Lodge."  The top photo is also labeled "Paul, Clara, Joy, Ralph."  Needless to say, there are a lot of White Oak Lodges, Oak Lodges, and variations thereof in the United States.  I'm going with the one in Tehachapi, Kern County, just north Of Los Angeles.  For those who were wondering, the white "1929" on the front of the prints was made by writing it on the negative with a dark ink.  Click on LA Family Collection in labels to bring everything up.

The Queen

No, not the one in England.  I wonder how many small boats have been named "Queen."  So many that I didn't bother to even try and find a reference.   It's just a great composition with the young lady and the "Queen" behind her.

1929

I don't know which grade this young girl was in when this picture was taken, but I have no doubt that she grew up to be a beautiful woman.  It's in the eyes.  Written on the back, "John Rosa"  A picture given to John Rosa, or for John from Rosa?
