Views of the World, Blarney Castle, Ireland
There's too much information about Blarney Castle for me to type it all, so I'm going to leave it to the reader to Google, Google, and Google again. In a nutshell, the Blarney Castle in the photo was built in 1446 by Cormac Laider McCarthy, Lord of Muscry. And yes, I did wonder if the writer is a descendant. The Blarney Stone is built into the castle's battlement, and legend has it, anyone who kisses the thing will be granted the gift of gab.
