Women are far more interesting photographic subjects then men. There aren't many men who can, or would, present such a variety of looks. These photos, probably from the fifties, are credited to Zoltan S. Farkas, almost certainly a commercial photographer doing advertising photos for a department store or fashion house. I couldn't find anything about him on the web.

I have been searching the web for information and archives of Zoltan Farkas's photography. Your page is the only information I have found. Where did you obtain these photographs? How can I find more of his work/information? Thank you in advance for your help!
ReplyDeleteTippnan, you didn't leave and email address. To answer your question, I purchased these off of eBay. I know nothing about Farkas. -The New Found Photography
ReplyDeleteThese were absolutely taken by Zoltan Farkas... I am so excited to find these pictures. My mother is the caretaker for his wife, Betty Farkas, who happens to be the subject of a few of these pictures. Betty is in her 90s now, and her condo walls are decorated with her magazine covers from the 30s and 40s. The second picture on this page is Ms. Betty. Thank you for posting these, wherever you found them.

Zoltan Farkas was my grandmothers brother. All my baby photos are by him.
